first off – sorry i’ve missed a couple days. it’s been crazy and there have been some things that have gone down that just can’t go out over the interwebz. i’ve been in the hot seat and kev and i have had to ban together to decide how to proceed. my brain is bleeding. well – at least my head feels that way. lolz. don’t worry… i’ll be a’ight.
the mamas and the littles and i had an eye doctor appointment this morning. nora helped mom pick out some new glasses and she’s excited about it because her old ones are about 5 years old and super fuzzy. they’ll be ready to pick up in about five days.
i also had a meeting with the executive director of highgate and the director of nursing and together we decided mom could move out of the chalet and back into her big room in the manor. mom has been complaining NON STOP about not having a shower in her room, getting cold food and how they just don’t take care of her like they used to. in reality – when she was in the big room – she hated that too. buuuuttt – as soon as we told her she could move back into her other room her whole demeanor changed. she’s happy as a clam. and VERY excited to be able to go back to her room.
the only problem is… that means we have to move all her crap back into the manor. which means another trailer and more people to help. and i’ve tapped out my moving helpers. we’ve moved mom 5 times in the last 3 months. :killmenow: and so – i hired a company to move her. it’ll be easier for everyone and mom is beyond happy about being able to go. so everyone wins. hoooray. 🙂
we haven’t checked off anything on the bucket list in the last couple days because they’ve been CRAZY. but tomorrow is a BIG day. don’t miss tomorrow’s post – it’s. going. to. be. HUGE! i’m so so SO SO SOOOO excited. mom knows i’m picking her up at 915am – but she has no idea where she’s going and what she’s doing. it’s going to be amazing. i can’t wait! see you tomorrow!
until then,
*m
Kenzie—sure hope tomorrow’s post involves a big basket, a balloon, and a whole bunch of helium! Here’s to a GREAT memory tomorrow.
